He had serious financial problems after suffering losses on the stock market and also got into debt, ”Desai said, citing a five-page note that Fartade had written on paper and then clicked on the pictures of the notes ultimately sending them to her aunt on WhatsApp.
“He also mentioned that he was worried about his mother’s health and that if he ended her life, his mother would suffer a lot,” Desai added.

“We recovered the cell phone used to mail the note and recorded the statements of his relatives and other witnesses,” he said. He added that a murder and accidental death case was registered later on Saturday evening. “Fartade’s cousin, Shonit Sawant (35) of Erandwane, lodged a complaint in this regard,” Mulani said.
