Babysense sleep experts explained that newborns don’t develop a circadian rhythm until they are three or four months old.

For this reason, your baby is unlikely to have adopted a routine yet.

The circadian rhythm is the natural internal process that regulates the sleep-wake cycle.

Most newborns sleep longer than they are awake, which is imperative for health and growth in the first few months of life.

The calculator will ask you for a series of details to help you implement the ideal sleep schedule for your child.

You will first be asked for your child’s age range and you can choose between six months and four years.

Next, you will be asked what time your child usually wakes up in the morning and how many times he or she wakes up during the night.

You will also be asked how long it takes your child to fall back to sleep after waking up during the night.

Once you have answered these four questions, all you need to do is click on the “calculate” button.

You will then receive your results which show how long your child actually sleeps each night and how many hours of sleep you are losing.

For example, a 6 to 8 month old baby who wakes up at 6:30 a.m., wakes up four times a night and takes 15 minutes to fall back to sleep would have about 11 hours of sleep per night, according to the calculator.

The algorithm then looks at the ideal times when your baby should be fed and naps throughout the day to get the best sleep possible.

For this particular scenario, experts recommend that your child’s first meal be at 8:30 a.m.

Then solids at 10:30 am followed by a nap at 12:30 pm.

‘PERFECT ROUTINE’

Experts suggest that you start the bedtime routine and get your child comfortable by 6:30 p.m.

Experts added, “In the blink of an eye, your precious baby has grown. Its first years of life are filled with a large number of milestones. They seem to master the skills faster than you can capture the moments on camera.

“As they grow up, we must remember that their sleep must also change.

“It may take some time for parents to adjust to their baby’s sleep routine and learn how to make sure they get enough sleep. “

They said it’s natural to have questions about what is considered normal sleep patterns, what changes might occur, and what is a typical schedule or daily routine that parents should follow or encourage based on l age of their baby.

They continued, “Being a parent is the most rewarding job but also the most difficult and sleeping problems only add to the stress.”

“We know the age-specific guidelines provided will not only reassure parents along the way, but also provide them with tips to create the perfect sleep routine for their babies, ensuring everyone’s a great night’s sleep. . “
