Olivia Munn’s Mom Knits ‘Bernie Sanders’ Mittens For Her Newborn Baby Malcolm… Who She Shares With Beau John Mulaney
Olivia Munn and boyfriend John Mulaney welcomed their first child together in November after going public with their romance in May.
And on Thursday, the actress revealed her mother hand-knitted a pair of mittens for their newborn son that were meant to resemble those worn by Bernie Sanders at the 2020 inauguration of Joe Biden.
“My mom made the Malcolm Bernie Sanders mittens,” said Munn, who shared a photo of Malcolm cradling his new mittens.

Malcom was carried in a baby carrier – apparently strapped to Mulaney’s chest – and had a comfortable gray beanie on his head.
Earlier in the week, Olivia shared an image of the newly divorced comedian, 39, planting a kiss on the baby, as she, 41, nicknamed their baby ‘the sweetest smoosh.’
The trio seemed to be settling into family life quite well, now made easier by the fact that Mulaney and ex-wife Anna Marie Tendler officially finalized their divorce last week.

Olivia made sure to point out in her caption that their “Christmas tree was still standing,” as evidenced by the house’s glass doors.
The couple welcomed their son Malcolm on November 24. She posted the first official snap of the baby on Christmas Eve, calling it “My Baby Golden Ox.”

Two weeks before she was due, John reportedly tried to “speed up” his and Tendler’s divorce, even hiring new lawyers to help him through the process.
The Big Mouth actor was said to want to “get a divorce” as he was “becoming a father” and therefore moved on to a business known to be “tough and efficient” according to Page Six.
On January 6, it was announced that he and Tendler, 36, were legally divorced after six years of marriage. They reportedly separated in October 2020, but news of their divorce didn’t come out until May 2021.

Days later, he sparked romance rumors with Munn, and in September he confirmed they were expecting a child together. But since Malcolm was born in November, fans were quick to point out that the alleged “May” timeline doesn’t add up.
Amid the drama and secrecy surrounding her pregnancy and their dating schedule, Munn told the LA Times that she preferred to keep quiet and focus on their baby.
“If I try to say anything, I run the risk of being called disorderly or not telling the truth. The only way to win, for me, is to step down and not play at all.
“There is this vulnerability that I feel that makes me want to… turn it all off. I’d rather close the door on that and just take care of myself and my baby.
